The Awakening – Lion Canvas Print

The Awakening is a deeply personal lion artwork from the Safari Spirit Collection, inspired by my own journey through PTSD, recovery and finding my voice again after a difficult period in my life.

The lion’s roar represents a moment of release, not aggression, but courage, resilience and reclaimed strength. It symbolises breaking the silence, recognising what you have survived and emerging with a stronger sense of your own voice.

With its rich tones, expressive detail and powerful sense of presence, this stretched canvas print brings the spirit of the original painting into the home in a bold and dramatic way. It works beautifully as a statement piece for living rooms, offices, hallways or any space that calls for strength, energy and emotional depth.

Part of the Art for Living range, this canvas print has been created to make Poppet’s artwork more accessible for everyday interiors while still retaining the character and emotional impact of the original.

Printed on 400gsm standard canvas and stretched over a 38mm stretcher bar, this piece has a clean, contemporary finish and is ready to bring personality and warmth to your space.
